Welcome to Alma’s Mex Tex, where our family’s journey from the United States to the Netherlands comes to life on every plate. We moved here in November 2025 with a simple dream: to blend the vibrant flavors of our Mexican heritage and the rich, smoky traditions of Texas barbecue with the warmth of Dutch hospitality.

Our kitchen is inspired by the recipes passed down from my mother, who grew up in a traditional Mexican household in Juárez, and by over a decade of perfecting authentic Texas barbecue techniques. At Alma’s, you’ll find a family effort to share the best of both worlds, inviting you to experience the comfort of home-cooked Mexican dishes alongside the soulful taste of Texas-style smoked meats.
